Why do entrepreneurs define a corporate culture? To have an impact on the environment of a new organisation, a leader must be closely aligned with the culture he or she hopes to lead. Organisational culture is a critical component of team building. In order to work effectively as a team, all employees must understand and embrace the culture of the particular group and business.

How do entrepreneurs lead a company culture? Shaping a culture may be learned, but only from experience. Emotional intelligence is essential if leadership in a culture-driven venture is to be effective. Entrepreneurs need to align their passion as leaders with the company’s mission and the corporate culture.

When is culture driven-leadership important? In a start up, the culture is a blank page, in need of material. The leader must be aligned with the culture of the organisation. At the same time, he or she is also responsible for shaping it. As the culture get established, it’s important to implement a feedback loop between the leader and the rest of the company.

Who has the ability to lead an enterprise defined by its culture? An individual who sets out to lead a company defined by its culture has to be devoted to its purpose and must frequently verbalise it. The culture-driven leader connects to all levels of the company by having a powerful enemy and an inner circle, and by being open to the possibility of failure, with an aura of mystery.

Where does culture come into play? A corporate culture can be created without the involvement of the leader, but a healthy culture requires attention, and therefore a leader should actively shape the development of the culture. A company’s culture helps define the way the vision will be enacted. In an organisational culture the leader’s personality comes into play.
