The leader must be aligned with the culture of the organisation. At the same time, he or she is also responsible for shaping it. As the culture get established, it’s important to implement a feedback loop between the leader and the rest of the company. Who has the ability to lead an enterprise defined by its culture? An individual who sets out to lead a company defined by its culture has to be devoted to its purpose and must frequently verbalise it. The culture-driven leader connects to all levels of the company by having a powerful enemy and an inner circle, and by being open to the possibility of failure, with an aura of mystery. Where does culture come into play? A corporate culture can be created without the involvement of the leader, but a healthy culture requires attention, and therefore a leader should actively shape the development of the culture. A company’s culture helps define the way the vision will be enacted. In an organisational culture the leader’s personality comes into play.
