Online video makes your customers engaged

Customers prefer to watch online video because it gives them the most amount of information in the shortest time possible.

What is happening to television and video? Today, we consumers spend less time watching television shows, but over 100 million Internet users watch online videos every day. According to Cisco, videos will account for 69% of all consumer Internet traffic, by 2017. Nielsen declares that 64% of marketers expect video to be the central element of their strategies in the future.

Why do companies produce videos? Internet users prefer watching over reading, which makes online video an excellent marketing strategy. If marketers manage to engage an audience, they will share the video with others and spend longer time interacting with your brand.

How can our company produce videos? Your company may create a video for under $100 or build a studio with all facilities. To broadcast yourself mainly involves writing a script, recording a voice-over, creating visuals, editing, adding sound and special effects, and airing it.

“Today, most people prefer to watch a video rather than read a page of text,”—Lisa Lubin

What does video do to marketing of businesses? IDG Research shows that after buyers watch a video of a product, two-thirds will continue to research about the product, nearly half will visit the vendor website, and 42% will purchase the product.

Who watches online videos? According to a New York Times survey, one-third of Millennials mostly watch videos and not watch broadcast television. Desktop and Android users give a video three minutes of their time, while iPad users have the longest attention span, staying with an online video for an average of five minutes.

Which industries are broadcasting online video marketing? The video game industry has the highest rate of online videos, whereas pharma and consulting companies are barely creating any video content. According to SundaySky's “The 2012 State of Online Video Report” 48 out of 50 major online retailers use online videos, which is an increase of 200% from 2011. The telecommunication and education industries are also major users of online videos.
